The American Music Awards aired Sunday, Nov. 20 and the winners, which were determined by online voters, were finally revealed.
Going into the awards show, Drake led the pack of nominees with 13 nods, breaking Michael Jackson’s record for the most AMA nominations in a single year. Rihanna also scored seven nominations, and Adele and Justin Bieber each earned five.
Newcomers The Chainsmokers have had quite a successful year too with hits like “Don’t Let Me Down” and “Closer,” and their ascension of the charts showed in their impressive four nominations, including New Artist of the Year.
