CLEVELAND, Ohio – Candy Land days are back again. For the second year, Lake Metroparks Penitentiary Glen Nature Center is bringing the iconic kids game to life with their life-sized Wild Days of Winter game – played just like the iconic board game Candy Land, but with a “natural twist.”
Players get to discover the many “natural” flavors that nature gives us as they play along and travel through the seasons in an indoor wonderland. Draw a card, move from space to space, and explore nature through the year. Playing is free.
The fun is at the Penitentiary Glen Nature Center, 8668 Kirtland-Chardon Road in Kirtland. It begins Saturday.
While there, guests can check out the snowshoeing (weather permitting) and indoor-outdoor scavenger hunts the center offers, too.
The Wild Days of Winter Candy Land runs through Sunday, Jan. 1, noon to 5 p.m. Special free activities are offered each Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.:

- November 19 -Wildlife Day
- November 26 -S’mores and Campfire
