Sir Thomas Trueheart has had a rough start at life, but that hasn’t let the friendly cat develop a sour disposition.
The loving feline lived as a stray for a long time before a wonderful place called Milo’s Sanctuary took him off the streets. In the time he lived as a stray, Thomas endured the horrible experience of having acid poured on his head. Nobody knows exactly what happened, but he was brought in shortly after with chemical burns.
The poor creature lost an eye, needed a skin graft, and even tested positive for FIV+, a feline immunodeficiency virus not too different from AIDS.
That was when Milo’s Sanctuary stepped in, a rescue that works specifically with unwanted cats who have a pretty dire perspective of life. Milo’s Sanctuary will never put down a cat, even if they can’t find it a forever home.
Milo’s Sanctuary did just this for Sir Thomas Trueheart, ensuring he got the care he needed despite vets urging he be put down. Since the incident, the fluffy cat has grown a thicker coat, put on weight, and even given his caretakers a wink or two.
