Beloved American actor Robert Wagner once said, “a dog will teach you unconditional love. If you can have that in your life, things won’t be too bad.”
Meanwhile, author Kristan Higgins said about man’s best friend, “when an eighty-five pound mammal licks your tears away, then tries to sit on your lap, it’s hard to feel sad.”
Humanity’s closest companion is one who feels loyalty and love where they could feel anger. They might not have much patience, but they certainly know how to feel excitement. And while we sometimes leave them alone for too many hours during the day, they still frolic into our arms at the end of it as if everyday were Christmas.
While human beings have become more greedy and willful with each generation that passes, it seems dogs only become more loyal and more loving. Take, for instance, the two best friends pictured below.
We could learn a lesson from these pups. The blonde dog, Amber, is best friends with the other pooch Biscuit, but when Biscuit can’t go for a walk with Amber, sadness ensues. The touching moment only lasts a matter of seconds, but we could all learn a lesson from these animals who love with a heart that’s bigger than their bodies.
