EMAS: Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift & 8 More Best Performances Of All-Time

The 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards are here! With Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga and more performing, it’s sure to be a great show. And, in honor of the big day, we’re looking back at some of the most memorable EMA performances of all-time!

1. Justin Bieber, “What Do You Mean?” — 2015

Even though “What Do You Mean” came out more than two months before the show, Justin Bieber, 22, still managed to keep the song fresh with an upbeat, high energy performance that had us swooning!

2. Ellie Goulding, “Love Me Like You Do” — 2015

“Love Me Like You Do” was one of the biggest songs of 2015 thanks to Fifty Shades Of Grey, and Ellie Goulding proved why with a stripped down performance at the EMAs.

3. Nick Jonas, “Jealous” — 2014

This was actually performed at a kickoff event to the EMAs in Miami, but Nick Jonas rocked it nonetheless. He clearly proved that going solo was the move!

4. Fifth Harmony, “Sledgehammer” — 2014

Just like with Nick, Fifth Harmony’s performance was during the pre-show. The ladies totally had us dancing, though, as they belted out their 2014 hit, “Sledgehammer.”

5. Ariana Grande, “Problem” — 2014

Ariana Grande totally nailed her rendition of her songs “Problem” and “Break Free” at the EMAs — she even floated above the crowd in a giant contraption!

6. Miley Cyrus, “We Can’t Stop” — 2013

We’ll always remember the 2013 EMAs as the year Miley Cyrus, 23, lit up and smoked right onstage, but her whole opening of the show with “We Can’t Stop” was CRAZY. She took the stage again later for a much different and stripped-down performance of “Wrecking Ball.”

7. Taylor Swift, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” — 2012

What better way to promote her recently-released album, Red, than with a performance like this?! Taylor Swift, 26, rocked the stage in 2012 with a circus-themed rendition of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”

8. Katy Perry, “California Girls” — 2010

She actually performed a few different hits at the EMAs in 2010, but Katy Perry’s rendition of her top-selling single “California Girls” was by far the most memorable.

9. Bon Jovi, medley — 2010

Bon Jovi performed three of their songs — “What Do You Got,” “You Give Love A Bad Name” and “It’s My Life” — in 2010, and proved they’re still totally at the top of their game!

10. Beyonce, “Sweet Dreams” — 2009

Beyonce can do no wrong — so obviously, this was no different!

HollywoodLifers, which EMAs performance is your favorite of all-time? What are you looking forward to at the show this year?
