HOUSTON- Five suspects have been arrested after a shooting that took place after a home invasion in Tomball on Wednesday.
According to police, they received a call around 2:45 p.m. of a possible shooting in the 24200 block of FM 2978.
Once officers arrived to the scene, they found one male victim with unknown injuries.
Police said prior to this there was a report of a home invasion around 2:30 p.m. near Hufsmith Road and Kuykendahl Road.
The victim got into his car and followed the suspects. The suspects fired at the victim’s vehicle, hitting and wounding him.
When officers arrived to the scene, the suspects had wrecked their vehicle and ran off into nearby woods.
Officers heard some shots fired, but no reports of anyone hit. A perimeter was set up around the wooded area by Tomball police and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Two suspects were captured on the run. Three more suspects were found hiding by K-9s.
All five of the suspects have been taken into custody with pending charges.
The victim has been treated and released.
