CLEM MURRAY / Staff Photographer The strike by SEPTA city workers is over so commuters line up at the 69th St. SEPTA transportation terminal waiting for buses to start rolling on Nov. 7, 2016.

SEPTA riders who have unused TransPasses due to the strike can get credit to use toward other fare purchases.

Many riders were not able to use their weekly or monthly passes due to the strike that started last Tuesday and ended early Monday, when the transit agency and Transportation Workers Union Local 234 announced a tentative agreement for a five-year contract. Service has been gradually resuming throughout the day.

Riders can bring their unused TransPasses to any SEPTA sales office or retail location to get the credit vouchers. You must surrender the unused pass to get the credit.

Riders with a weekly pass for Oct. 31 to Nov. 6 can get a $20 credit voucher, with the credit available starting Wednesday.

People with a weekly pass for Nov. 7 to 13 can get a $4 voucher, with the credit available starting Monday.

Those with a monthly pass for November can get a $21 voucher, with the credit available beginning Dec. 1.

Anyone who gets a TransPass through ComPass, an employer program or a pre-tax benefit program must submit their pass by mail to receive a credit. Those passes can be sent to:

SEPTA SIP Refunds
1234 Market St., ninth floor
Philadelphia, Pa. 19107

Riders with unused weekly or monthly passes on a SEPTA Key card can call the SEPTA Key Customer Call Center at 855-567-3782.
