It’s a red card either way.
Australian actress Isla Fisher used her Christmas cards to prank family and friends by putting her red-haired Doppleganger, Amy Adams, on the cover beside husband Sacha Baron Cohen instead of herself.
Having long been compared to the “Enchanted Actress,” Fisher admitted during a recent appearance on ” Today ” that she cut and pasted her celebrity twin’s image and slapped it right over her own, leaving her holiday card recipients none the wiser.
“So it was Sacha, Amy, and the kids and then we said ‘Seasons greetings from Sacha and Isla,’” the actress explained. “No one noticed! They’d say ‘Oh your card was so cute!’ I was like, ‘It was a joke, it’s not me, it’s Amy.”
‘Nocturnal Animals’ worth spending two hours in the dark: review
The pair, who both star in the upcoming “Nocturnal Animals,” have recently been making headlines for how uncanny their similarities are.
The 40-year-old actress earlier this month told ET, she takes no offence when she gets compared to her co-star.
“I find it a huge compliment because I think Amy’s gorgeous,” she said. “I’ve been mistaken for her a couple times in my career. One of them was kind of amazing because it was Lady Gaga. She congratulated me for my performance in ‘American Hustle.’”
Adams, who was nominated for an Oscar for the 2013 drama, echoed Fisher’s complimentary tone.
“Sometimes I’ve been like, ‘Oh yeah! I can totally see it,” the Oscar-nominated actress explained. “But she’s small and cute, and I’m sort of not as small or as cute.”
