Kristen Wiig will host an episode of ” Saturday Night Live ” for the second time since leaving the cast in 2012.
The actress and comedian will lead the Nov. 12 episode with musical guest the xx, the week following Dave Chappelle’s “SNL” debut.
Wiig first appeared on the late-night staple in 2005 before joining the repertory cast in 2006 at the beginning of Season 32. During her time on the show, Wiig became a stand-out, earning four Emmy nominations in the supporting actress category.
Some of her most popular characters while on the show include the overenthusiastic Target Lady, afro-ed Gilly and one-upper Penelope. She also performed Aunt Linda, one half of Garth and Kat as reoccurring characters behind the “Weekend Update” desk. Her list of celebrity impressions included Kathie Lee Gifford and Suze Orman.
