If you’re in the market for a sneaker that bridges performance and style at a reasonable price, then look no further than Nike’s latest Frankenstein creation: the Nike LunarCharge.
For the versatile sneaker, Nike has adapted a hodgepodge of design elements rooted in the past. The eyestays were inspired by the Air Max 90, with neoprene material borrowed from the 1988 Nike Air Flow. Bootie Air Presto construction is also incorporated, while the wider silhouette shape is an homage to the 1990 Air Current. For extra comfort, a lunarlon cushioning system – introduced with the Nike LunarEpic earlier this year – is also featured, making it the first Nike sneaker out with the running category to adopt the technology.
The first colorway of the Nike LunarCharge will be released on November 18 at select boutiques for around $120. Stay tuned for further information on the sneaker as we have it.
The brand with the Swoosh continues to fortify its winter arsenal. It just upgraded the LunarEpic with a Flyknit shield.
