Streaming services Qello Concerts and nugs.tv have announced a strategic new partnership. The agreement pairs live concert streaming offered by nugs.tv with on-demand concert films offered by Qello Concerts.
As part of the agreement, Qello Concerts developed a single sign-on authentication to allow access to nugs.tv users to the Qello catalog of on-demand concerts and music documentaries. Additionally, nugs.tv content, including live concert streams, will be accessible via Qello’s suite of apps, such as Apple TV (legacy and new), tvOS, Roku, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, all iOS and Android mobile devices, the web and other platforms. Purchasers of live nugs.tv webcasts will be able to watch via a “live” tab on the Qello platform.
“With Qello we’re extending the reach of nugs.tv beyond the nugs.net app for tvOS, iOS, Android and our web properties,” said nugs.net founder and CEO Brad Serling. “The typical Qello user is the perfect audience for what we’ve been doing live on nugs.tv.”
Qello and nugs.tv first partnered together this past August for a webcast of the annual Lockn’ Festival in Virginia. The integration of nugs.tv with Qello begins with legacy Apple TV and Android TV, with all of the other platforms being brought on board by the end of this month.
“The natural evolution for Qello Concerts was always to offer music fans the ability to not only watch our deep collection of concert films on-demand, but to also have access to stream concerts live,” said Qello Concerts co-founder and CRO Rich Johnson. “With the new live authentication feature, music content producers can now leverage our global app suite to get their amazing content into millions of living rooms around the world and in front of the most passionate live music fans.”
