NO expense was spared for the fairy tale wedding of the daughter of a Tajik oligarch that included a jewel-studded dress made by British designers worth AU$828,154.
The bride Madina Shokirova, daughter of the oil tycoon Ilkhom Shokirov, tied the knot with a man identified only as Sador.
The fancy wedding reception took place in the luxurious Radisson Royal Congress Park hotel in the city of Moscow, western Russia.
According to reports, 9,000 guests attended the event.
Madina shone the entire evening in the haute couture dress by British fashion house Ralph Russo.
The bride chose the less prominent brand, dismissing a wedding gown from one of the leading haute couture houses of Zuhair Murad.
The gorgeous layered lacy gown was decorated with silver embroidery, organza petals, and hundreds of pearls and Swarovski crystals.
The wedding organisers also wowed guests with a remarkable cake made by celebrity cake maker and former boxer Renat Agzamov.
Prior to the wedding, Madina spent her hen party at the Spanish resort town of Marbella, where she flew in with her girlfriends on a private jet.
Despite the bride’s family trying to stay out of the media spotlight, it was reported that Ilkhom Shokirov is the owner of the most luxurious hotel located in the capital city of Tashkent in northeastern Uzbekistan.
In addition, he owns 65 per cent of the shares in one of the largest shopping centres called Demir in Uzbekistan and a couple of hotels in western Russia’s Moscow region.
But this isn’t the first multi-million pound wedding.
Armenian-born Russian businessman Samvel Karapetyan pulled out all the stops (and bucket loads of cash) to throw his son Sargis, 23, the world’s most extravagant ceremony.
The £1.3m nuptials featured a nine-tier cake and Maroon 5 were hired to provide entertainment.
