Shocking footage has captured the moment a cyclist was thrown from their bike after being hit by a car in south London.
Dashcam video shows the female rider flying through the air after being knocked off their bike on a mini-roundabout in Thornton Heath, near Selhurst Park, the home of Crystal Palace Football Club.
The crash took place as the cyclist navigated the roundabout when the silver car approached from Whitehorse Lane.
Paramedics were called to the scene and took the woman to hospital following the collision.
The sickening footage was uploaded to YouTube on Monday following the collision on Sunday morning.
A caption on the video read: “Cyclist was badly hit by a car in Thornton Heath.”
The cyclist is seen moving on the ground in agony and holding her leg just moments after the impact.
Footage shows the driver, a woman dressed in a brown coat, stopped at the scene to check on the rider.
The motorist bends down to tend to the cyclist before going back to her to car seemingly to grab a mobile phone.
The Standard has contacted the uploader for more details.
