Texas A&M honors 34 Houston businesses for rapid growth


The 12th Annual Aggie 100, honoring the fastest-growing businesses led or owned by Aggies, included 34 Houston-area businesses, the Mays Business School’s Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship at Texas AM University announced Friday night.

The fastest growing company was Lone Star Bloom with revenue growth of 229 percent in 2015. The Summit Award recipient, presented to the company with the highest three-year average revenue, was awarded to Genesis Networks Enterprises.

Houston companies dominated the list. Bryan/College Station had 12 companies make the list and 10 companies made the list from the Dallas/Fort Worth-area.

In addition, none of the businesses on the list were founded after the year 2011, with the oldest business being established in 1971.
