When I first showed a fellow Allure editor the Sigma Lip Switch glosses, she said, “Those look like unicorn tears.” Well, there’s a lip product that is literally called Too Faced Unicorn Tears La Creme Lipstick, and it’s just as amazing as the gloss. Although it’s been around for what feels like forever, the Internet is newly obsessed with it. Personally, I’ve been using the iridescent beauty since it launched late last year to add a a holographic vibe (and a hint of moisture) to any matte liquid lipstick. When applied, the lipstick, which look shimmery blue in the tube, looks like a sheer lavender with a sky blue shift. It’s kind of like the slim lip version of the multi-use Milk Makeup Holographic Stick, but the Too Faced Unicorn Tears La Creme Lipstick is much creamier and a bit more opaque. TBH, you could probably use it on your cheeks, too.
Here’s how people have been wearing the now-famous Unicorn Tears lipstick. It can be used over your favorite lipstick or worn by itself.
