It’s day two of the mourning period for those who voted for Hillary Clinton in Tuesday’s presidential election. You’re still crying, but maybe a little quieter. You’re still dejected, but maybe with a little more fire behind your eyes. But if you still feel like you need that extra push to get you going, just take a look at this picture of Hillary Clinton walking her dog in Chappaqua, New York:
The picture comes from Margot Gerster, who says she was feeling heartbroken since the election and decided to relax by taking her daughter hiking. Here’s the rest of her story:
So I decided to take them to one of favorite places in Chappaqua. We were the only ones there and it was so beautiful and relaxing. As we were leaving, I heard a bit of rustling coming towards me and as I stepped into the clearing there she was, Hillary Clinton and Bill with their dogs doing exactly the same thing as I was. I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my most proudest moments as a mother was taking Phoebe with me to vote for her. She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk. Now, I’m not one for signs but I think ill definitely take this one. So proud.
Just look at that smile. That glow. That puppy!! Sure, she maybe looks a little like she’s probably been crying (again, like the rest of us), but she also looks like she’s pushing past the hurt. And if Hillary Clinton can move forward two days after the election, well then, we can too.
