If you are considering moving to a new country following last week’s election results, a Boston-based startup wants to help you move to Canada.
Navut, a real estate tech company, is offering a cash back bonus of up to $20,000 to Americans purchasing homes in Canada during the next 12 months, according to BostInno .
The startup, which helps people find property that fits their lifestyle in 10 Canadian cities and in Boston, is also offering immigration guidance for relocating to the Great White North.
Marcos Carvalho, co-founder and chief revenue officer for Navut, told BostInno that the startup has partnerships with immigration officers in Canada and can refer U.S. citizens who need help going through the process.
“We know immigration is important and key for economic growth… For Navut, there’s no better way to support immigrants coming from America and the Canadian economy itself than helping financially,” he told the publication.
The real estate company isn’t alone in encouraging Americans to move north. Canada’s immigration website crashed on Election night, and the country’s official Twitter account sent out a message about immigration while results for the U.S. presidential election were still coming in.
