The body of a woman who jumped off of the Jefferson Barracks Bridge this morning was found on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River.

Monroe County coroner Vicki Koerber said that witnesses reported seeing the woman jump from the bridge around 10:40 a.m. Tuesday.

The identity of the woman has not yet been made public.
